APPLETON, WI., October 20, 2015 – Great Northern Instore, an industry leader in retail and point-of-purchase displays, received five awards, including a Platinum award, in the Design of the Times competition held October 14 at the 2015 Shopper Marketing Expo in Minneapolis. Platinum awards are selected as the best in their category.
For the second year, Great Northern Instore has earned a Platinum award for a Purina display. This year the “Purina Purpose Target Endcap” earned the Platinum award in the Mass Merchandising Category. The display included interactive fragrance testers that could be lifted from the display and allow the shopper to “sample” the fragrances.
“This award really reinforces the positive response we get, both from our customers and with retail results, to our shopper insights approach,” said Mike Schliesmann, Senior Vice President and Business Unit Manager at Great Northern Instore. “As we develop programs we focus on shopper insights through instore activation. We understand what it takes to be successful at retail and winning this award helps showcase these efforts.”
Other Great Northern Instore entries recognized with awards included: a gold award in the Mass Merchandisers category for the “Purina Purpose Target Endcap”; two silver awards, one in the Consumer Electronics category for “TDK Trek Micro Counter Unit” and one in the Mass Merchandisers category for the “3M Scotchgard Power Wing Display”; as well as a bronze award in the specialty category for the “3M Try Me Half Pallet Display.”
