We partnered with Mattel to bring the excitement of WrestleMania to retail, creating a bold, immersive pallet display designed to stop shoppers and transform toys into a must-see destination.
Program Objective
The objective was to design a full pallet display that captured the look and energy of a wrestling ring while accommodating a mix of differently sized products. It needed to be fully shoppable from all four sides, meet Walmart’s retail specifications, and stand out in a crowded toy aisle.
At the same time, the display had to balance strong visual impact with practical merchandising, ensuring product organization, accessibility, and stability across a high-traffic retail environment.
The Work
In collaboration with Mattel, we developed a four-sided structure inspired by a wrestling ring. A ring-bib-style base featuring WrestleMania graphics anchors the display, while graphic “ropes” and corner elements modeled after turnbuckles bring the concept to life.
These graphic elements were fully integrated into the structure, serving not just as visual details, but as functional product shelves and supports. This allowed the display to stay true to the theme while maintaining durability and shopability.
A dimensional, two-sided header in the shape of the WrestleMania logo completes the look. Its bold, angular design, paired with holographic foil accents, creates shimmer and stopping power from across the aisle, pulling shoppers into the experience.
The Results
The display was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from Mattel, who praised both the concept and execution, especially the way the foil elements “pop” at retail.
Its success has already influenced future programs, with the wrestling ring concept being reused and the foil treatment being explored for additional Mattel displays.
What started as a single execution has become a repeatable, scalable approach, proving the power of combining immersive design with smart merchandising.
